CALL FOR APPLICATION – COMPLAINTS PANEL MEMBERS

The RSPO Secretariat is pleased to announce a new call for application from its members to join the RSPO Complaints Panel.

Pursuant to the endorsement of the RSPO Complaints and Appeals Procedures (June 2017), there is now plans to expand the RSPO Complaints Panel with the aim to strengthen regional and sectoral representation on the Panel.

Panel members will be selected with a view to ensuring the independence and impartiality of the members; a sufficiently diverse background; a wide spectrum of experience; and commitment towards ensuring constructive resolution of complaints.

The specific selection criteria will be on the following basis:

1)    A member of RSPO for a minimum of 2 years;

2)    Balance of regional and sectoral stakeholders;

3)    Good knowledge of the English language, allowing active participation in the discussions

The Complaints Panel has its regular meetings once every month via tele-conference, and shall endeavour to have physical meetings every quarterly.

Members of the Complaints Panel should be prepared to attend meetings systematically, to contribute actively to discussions in the group, to be involved in preparatory work ahead of meetings, to examine and provide comments on documents under discussion, and to deliberate and deliver decisions as mandated under the Complaints and Appeals Procedures (2017).

As a general rule, working documents will be drafted in English and meetings will be also conducted in English.

a)    Curriculum Vitae (CV)

b)    Motivational letter/Statement of Intent (1 page)

c)    Two (2) references from other RSPO members.

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified and called for an interview with the Selection Committee.
