As part of the five year review of RSPO standards, the RSPO Secretariat is calling for expressions of interest by individuals or organisations with relevant expertise in sustainability standards, standards implementation and/or assessments, social and/or environmental protection, conservation and management and compliance monitoring verification etc., to participate in a range of Technical Committees (TCs) in the formulation of the proposed revised standards.
Representation of the TCs is open to both RSPO members and non-members alike. However, each TC shall have a minimum of two (2) RSPO grower representatives to ensure sufficient participation of stakeholders who are directly impacted by changes to the RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C).
The mandate of the TCs is to propose revised indicators, any means of measuring compliance and identify any additional guidance of implementation procedures needed, in order to ensure the continued relevance and effectiveness, in demonstrating that palm oil produced as RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) are credible and inclusive.
Proposals by the TCs will be presented to the Standard Review Task Force (TF) for decision-making. Specific deliverables of the TCs and appointment of TC members shall be determined by the TF, based on the focus of the standards review, and relevant skills and experience required.
A brief Term of Reference (ToR) of the TCs can be found
here.
