Since the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared Coronavirus (COVID-19) a global pandemic on 11 March 2020, the situation has continued to evolve daily, with numerous countries implementing government mandated restrictions, quarantines, social distancing, and/or other preventative measures. Updated Version of the Contingency RSPO Audit Procedure

30 Nov 2021 - In continuation of the previous announcement on 5 August 2021, the RSPO Secretariat is considering an alternative approach for CBs and CHs in managing the RSPO P&C and ISH certification in light of the continuity and uncertainty of the pandemic situation such as newly reported COVID-19 cases, and the emergence of new variants at national and international levels.


UPDATED AUDIT SCENARIO 4 (CONTINGENCY RSPO AUDIT PROCEDURE)

05 Aug 2021 - In March 2020, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Secretariat issued memos to all its accredited Certification Bodies (CBs) on the conduct of audits against the RSPO P&C and RSPO Supply Chain Certification (SCC). Further to that, on 25 Aug 2020 the RSPO Secretariat published a Contingency RSPO Audit Procedure which will be applicable when force majeure (such as pandemics, natural disasters, civil unrest, etc.) prevents the audit team from conducting field verifications).


Continued Closure of RSPO Malaysia Office

13 May 2021 - In view of the latest government announcement that Kuala Lumpur will be under a Movement Control Order (MCO) from 12 May to 7 Jun 2021, the Kuala Lumpur office will be closed until 7 June 2021.


Closure of RSPO Malaysia Office

14 Oct 2020 - The Kuala Lumpur office will be closed from 14 to 27 October 2020, due to the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) issued by the Malaysian Government. The CMCO is in response to the recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country, and to help reduce the spread of the virus.


RSPO Certification Audits during COVID-19 Crisis

25 Aug 2020 - In an effort to strengthen the credibility of our auditing process during this time, RSPO accredited CBs will be allowed to perform remote audits with the participation of one or more ‘Audit Facilitators’ on-site.
