ANNOUNCEMENT ON 19TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY (GA19) OF RSPO MEMBERS

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) will hold its 19th General Assembly (GA19) on:

Date: Thursday, 1 December 2022
Time: 3:00PM (GMT+8)
Venue: Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

In accordance with Article 9 of the RSPO Statutes 2020, RSPO Members are now invited to submit the following:

  1. NOMINATIONS (INCLUDING SELF-NOMINATIONS) FOR THE ELECTION OF THE RSPO BOARD OF GOVERNORS (BoG)

Listed below are the BoG seats that are up for election. Members may be re-nominated if they wish to stand.

Only RSPO Ordinary Members are eligible to be nominated as candidates to represent their respective membership sector.

In accordance with Article 11(d) of the RSPO Statutes 2020, the principal nominee of a BoG seat shall name their Alternate who must come from the same membership sector of the principal nominee. For the avoidance of doubt, an Alternate named in a BoG seat nomination shall be elected concurrently with the principal nominee.

All candidates are required to submit a nomination including all retiring BoG members who are available to stand for re-election using the Nomination Form.

All nominations must be submitted no later than 5:00PM (GMT+8), 29 September 2022 (Thursday). Please note that a strict policy will be enforced and late nominations will not be considered.

  1. RESOLUTIONS FOR CONSIDERATION AND ENDORSEMENT BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY (GA)

Ordinary Members are invited to submit resolutions for consideration by the GA. In order for the GA to meaningfully deliberate and decide on resolutions, these submissions must meet with the requirements described in the Resolution Submission Guide to facilitate proper consideration of resolutions within a fixed time frame.

All resolutions must be submitted using the online Resolution Submission Form no later than 5:00PM (GMT+8), Thursday 29 September 2022. Please note that a strict policy will be enforced and late submissions will not be considered.

Further information related to registration, e-voting and the hybrid GA19 process will be provided in due course. The formal Notice of General Assembly will be issued to members on 3 November 2022.
