The global situation on COVID-19 (coronavirus) has had widespread impact on many communities around the world. The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) has been following the situation closely and has used advice and research from government and health authorities as guidance. The RSPO’s top priority is best serving the RSPO membership and the communities and stakeholders in the regions in which we all work.
The utmost regard for the safety of our valued members, stakeholders and our communities has led to the very tough decision to postpone the North American Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue scheduled to take place on April 30th in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event will be rescheduled for a later date in 2020 to be announced as soon as possible and with the least possible overlap with other important conferences.
In the interest of the health and well being of all individuals and communities potentially impacted by the North American Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue, the RSPO is announcing:
- The North American Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue originally scheduled for April 30th 2020 is officially postponed, with the intention to announce a new date by the beginning of April 2020
- All registration fees that have already been paid will be refunded
- Currently, our intention is to hold the event at the same location (Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado) in the summer of 2020
- We are already working on plans to make sure we take all appropriate precautions for the health and safety of North American Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue attendees when the event takes place at the rescheduled time
We thank you for your understanding and we will provide updates as they become available. Please contact RSPO US Representative, Cameron Plese at [email protected] if you have any questions.
