Under the funding agreement, two knowledge exchange programmes were conducted in the RSPO Jurisdictional Certification pilot areas of Sabah and Seruyan. The objective of the knowledge exchange programme was to provide a platform where smallholders from both jurisdictions can share their sustainability experiences and learning thus far. The knowledge exchange sessions were completed in November 2018 (in Sabah) and February 2019 (in Seruyan).
Yayasan INOBU (INOBU) and Forever Sabah (FS), the two local implementers of the project have prepared a report on the comparison of Best Management Practices (BMPs) being implemented by the smallholders in Sabah and Seruyan before and after the project intervention. The report found that the smallholders are changing their farming practices for a more steady yield and better management of the environmental resources.
To share the findings and experience, Yayasan Inobu is conducting a webinar on the BMPs comparison study. This webinar will provide lessons learned and will answer questions about the outcome of the comparison studies, as well as provide an overview on the knowledge exchange programme. The details of the webinar are as follows:
Time: 10:00 - 11:00am (GMT+8)
Date: 02 December 2019
