Dear RSPO members,

We would like to invite you to a RSPO Supply Chain Certification Workshop and a smallholder strategy workshop around the European Palm Oil Alliance conference in Warsaw, Poland.

RSPO Supply Chain Certification Workshop, 5 October 2016
What topics will be covered? A brief introduction to the RSPO, Supply Chain Certification, eTrace, trends in Europe, Rules on Communication and Claims, exercise and Q&A session
When? Wednesday 5 October from 10 until 13h
Where? Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel
Who should attend? (Local) RSPO auditors, QA managers, CSR managers, manufacturers, retailers

RSPO Smallholder Strategy and action plan Workshop, 7 October 2016
On the 12th General Assembly in 2015, RSPO adopted resolution 6F to develop a comprehensive Smallholder Strategy. The adoption by the membership means that RSPO should determine the role of the mills, market, local authorities and RSPO to support the development needs of smallholders and incentivise them in an inclusive manner to contribute to environmental, and social solutions and transformation within the palm oil sector.
In the course of developing the strategy, RSPO will gather inputs from its key stakeholders in all RSPO key regions Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.
What is the purpose of the workshop? :

  • To provide an opportunity to gather input from stakeholders on the strategic direction based on regional context and develop a comprehensive strategy to address the challenges faced by smallholders; and
  • To develop a 5-year Action Plan Framework from the comprehensive strategy.

Who should attend: Smallholder organisations, Oil Palm Companies, Government, Environmental & Social NGO, Manufacturers, Processors, Retailers and Banks​.​

When? Friday 7 October from 9 until 15h including lunch
